Shimitaka Ozawa, code name "Johnny," is a small Japanese man who always dresses in nicely tailored suits, though the suits generally have a subdued cowboy flair to them. He also always wears cowboy boots and his belt buckle is somewhat larger than most worn with suits. Overall, the effect isn't garish or gaudy the way most such outfits tend to be.

Johnny's preferred ride is his custom Harley Davidson motorcycle. He often just spends hours on the road riding from place to place, mostly in the American Southwest where he makes his home. Johnny is quite familiar with the roads of Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico, and knows where all the rodeo grounds are.

Johnny is an avid fan of American Western movies and television, and in fact took his codename from an old Western series called "The Rebel." He is somewhat of a technophobe, in that he dislikes computers and other high-tech devices. His condo has an old TV and a VCR whose time is always flashing 12:00. He only recently bought an MP3 player, but he is still trying to figure out how to transfer all his Western music from their current records or 8-tracks to the electronic format.

History:
Johnny's father was a respected martial artist, and did his best to raise Johnny as he had himself been raised. Johnny wasn't going to have any of that. The countless hours in the dojo bored him, though he couldn't really get out of it. What he did like was sneaking off any chance he could get to go watch American Cowboy movies.

All of that changed after Johnny paid a visit to Tokyo to apply at Tokyo University. As he was wandering the streets, he happened to notice a group of thugs menacing a tall, blonde woman who was obviously a foreigner. Seeing nobody else around to help out, he jumped in alone. Five minutes later, a winded and slightly wounded Johnny asked the foreigner if she was alright.

The foreign woman, actually an Agency operative in disguise, was indeed alright. She was, however, somewhat put out that some random kid on the street had disrupted three weeks worth of work trying to get herself kidnapped by a local yakuza group the Agency was trying to infiltrate. Impressed despite herself, she offered Johnny a chance to do good like this on a larger, although more discreet, scale.

Thus began Johnny's training with the Agency. He had discovered that he had liked the feeling he had experienced on using the discipline and martial training he had absorbed in spite of himself to rescue someone who couldn't rescue herself, and wanted a chance to help more people. He absorbed enough of the Agency's training that he was accepted as a full field agent, though he never really took to the high technology used by the group.

His career as an agent was fairly standard, with its share of successes and the occasional incomplete success or the rare outright failure. He does enjoy working with the agents he was most commonly assigned to work with (Gentry, Sherman, Bootleg, and El Diablo). It was, in fact, largely due to his friendship with these agents that he decided to find employment with UNITAS after the recent collapse of the Agency.

CLASSIFIED INFORMATION (e.g. Spoiler alert): It has recently been revealed that Johnny was in fact replaced by a double shortly after his return from an alien planet through the Stargate. This double acted as Johnny would, for the most part, but recently revealed his true allegiances and left after Gentry and Bootleg discovered the real Johnny in a secret Agency facility.

Notable Quotes:
"Um, guys, it's not blowing up. You can probably come back in now."
